Meet Alex Bondoc, who stepped into her lifestyle vlogs at the age of 17 (now 22 years old). She only kicked start her YouTube videos with sharing tutorials on makeup, hairstyling and some fashion hauls, but it was needless to say that her sharing of what to be said "routine in daily life", has brought her fame as she reached to 1 million subscribers on YouTube. 

Known for her calm and aesthetically pleasing way of sharing her life through the lens, Alex caught the attention of her fellow Gen Zs to be inspired with how she is living the life as a university student that most youths aspire to be.

I'd say, she turns a joy of hers into inspiration for others.

Alex's videos does not only focus on sharing about her daily life or even beauty tutorials, but in certain videos, mainly in her Q&As videos, she often advice her viewers regarding self love and self care tips, knowing that we may somehow get disliked by others, one way or another, but in the end or so we should just stay truthful to ourselves. Observing other "Beary" (Alex's fandom club name) commenting on her videos, it has shown that her viewers admires her simplicity, humble yet respectful self.

Alex's Personal Family Life

Born and raised in the United States, Alex holds a Filipino heritage as both her parents comes from a Filipino heritage themselves. Despite growing in the west, Alex still holds her heritage close to herself as she shares her love for all things related to Filipino, coming from music to foods, and even the capability of understanding Tagalog!

She may show her self love throughout her vlogs, but Alex will never miss her family out. She has posted vlogs that features her family. As the eldest sibling, she has a sister named Abi Bondoc and a brother named Voltaire Bondoc. Alex carries a very strong "older sister" responsibility and image, as she would take what it has to in order to put a smile on her siblings' face. Seeing their bond together, even with their parents, the supportive family of hers has been the beacon light of where she is today, I may say. 

Being Alone isn't Lonely for Alex

It may seems like joy and colours in Alex's life, but like every other human, she does face her own "alone time", but rather than taking it into a negative way, Alex quoted in one of her vlogs saying that, "This is a few days of my life where I am alone, but not completely alone, because I have my siblings to take care of. I think it's fine to be alone, it's calming in a way, and I think there's a lot of positive and solitude. I made this 'Slice of Life' for a reason, 'Slice of Life' is not always perfect, and there is always something to learn from even if you think there is nothing to learn from". That being said, she likes to bring her viewers along in her "alone time" as she takes them as part of her companionship.

Alex's Eyes for Positivity

In all eyes, Alex aspire to bring positivity to not only her "Beary Club" but she wishes that with what she provides to her viewers, she dreams to build a safe space for everyone via her sharing as an internet personality or as how she is mainly known as, a lifestyle YouTuber.

"Thank you for sticking along, I'm always appreciative of being a part of this whole family, positive-like community. Of course people can like express their opinions, that doesn't mean I want people to be like negative or whatever, it's just that people have their opinions and that's okay! But if it's hurting like harming others, that's when I'm gonna take action. I wanted to be like a safe place for you, like we're always gonna face stress in our life, it's like I don't want people to be stressed, but at the same time, it's part of living. I feel like life is really nothing if you're not experiencing all the negative emotions, also I don't want that upon anyone, but it's going to be there." - Alex Bondoc, 21 April 2024

The connection she builds with her followers/subscribers/viewers has brought a humble image of herself that leads to youths looking up to Alex as their inspiration they aspire to be at a young age. It may not only be an inspiration, but some finds comfort and healing with Alex's videos as it feels peaceful and calm. Spending 5 years of sharing her life to the world on YouTube, brought Alex to earn her gold button of 1.06 million subscribers, having her viewers to say that she deserves it.
